Kelkang Solar Water Pump Project

P&V Eastern Engineers partnered with LORENTZ to install eight solar pumps across four pumping stations in the remote village of Kelkang, Mizoram, India. A 59 kWp solar generator powers pumps that lift water 520 m over 4 km of pipeline to a 100,000‑litre reservoir, delivering around 100 m³ of clean drinking water per day to more than 1,000 people. The system includes redundant pumps, optional hybrid backup and remote monitoring. As a result, villagers now enjoy over 200 litres of potable water per person each day, improving health, reducing the time spent fetching water and cutting carbon emissions.

• Solar Water Pumping Scheme

  We designed a multi‑pump solar water supply system for a cluster of villages in northern India. The installation uses a hybrid solar/grid power source to operate eight submersible pumps, delivering clean drinking water to over 4 000 residents while reducing diesel consumption. Remote monitoring ensures high reliability and easy maintenance.

• Rural Micro‑Grid Electrification

  In a remote hill district, our team implemented a solar‑powered micro‑grid with battery storage and smart load management. The project brought 24×7 electricity to schools, clinics and households, enabling education, healthcare and small businesses to thrive without reliance on polluting generators.

• Green Campus Development

  Working with an educational institution, we delivered a master plan for a net‑zero campus. Measures included rooftop solar, rainwater harvesting, passive cooling architecture and a wastewater recycling facility. The campus now serves as a living laboratory for sustainable design.
